Day 5, Friday the 13th!

Hi all,

We didn't have good internet reception in a lot of Canada, and I also couldn't get the pictures we took onto the computer. So, this posting is a little after the fact, so I will do my best to recall everything. We stopped on Thursday night at Prince George at the Bon Voyage Inn. It actually was a nice place to put our heads onto a pillow for less than 12 hours.

Those numbers are in kilometers

Friday morning we got up and headed to our last stop in British Columbia and the location where we would pick up the Alaska Ferry.

Nothing could top the wildlife we saw the previous day, but the trip was nice all the same. We did have sore butts and could hardly wait until we got to Prince Rupert. We were ready to get there.

Here is the sign as we came into Prince Rupert Yay! we finally are ending the driving portion of our trip. We drove 2,990 miles in 5 days, used countless gallons of gas (Dan kept track of that - along with the $$ - and I didn't ask!). But the good news is that, after doing the math, we discovered that the Rogue was getting about 32 mpg!!!! Even driving through the mountains.

We checked into the Inn on the Harbour for a very short night's stay (very nice place where we always stay when in Prince Rupert).
